Bailey's Wedding

I was so excited when my daughter's best friend, Bailey, decided to marry her high school sweetheart  last year.  She had neither a lot of time, or a huge budget and was planning on borrowing a lot of her decorations from a friend who had been married earlier.    Since I'm a firm believer that every woman deserves her very "own" wedding, I offered to help her design the wedding of her dreams!

First up on the agenda of course, was her bridal shower.

 The Bridal Shower

The Candy Bar/Dessert Table

In addition to any purple or yellow candy we were able to find, the dessert table included cake pops dipped in yellow and purple frosting.  I have never had much luck with cake pops and had pretty much given up on ever making them again.  Too much work and they never came out the way they were supposed to.  That is until I came across this:
Babycakes cake pop maker.  I bought mine at Michaels with a 40% off coupon and now my cakepops come out perfect - every time!

Bailey loved the country/mason jar theme and I was able to purchase some mason jar graphics to use for the food labels.  Once designed, we just printed them off on yellow cardstock and attached to purple cardstock for the tent style tags.

We printed and laminated bookmarks and used them as favors for her shower.  I use Serif's DrawPlus to design my graphics, but any graphics program would work and there are several free ones available for download.    I purchased my lamination machine at Walmart for around $40 years ago, and it has paid for itself MANY times over!   Once you design your bookmark, just print and then laminate, and cut.   Use a single hole-punch at the top and tie a pretty piece of ribbon through the hole and you have a not only beautiful, but very useful party favor.

Soon To Be ... Banner hanging over the fireplace.  My Cricut machine made this project very easy!

We were going with the mason jar/country/raffia theme for the wedding, and when I found this extra large mason jar I thought how perfect it would be for the advice for the bride to be!

What is a bridal shower without a few games, right?  We had several to choose from and the guests seemed to enjoy them all.
